What makes a place special and worth saving for future generations? In partnership with the Los Angeles Conservancy, students explored the architectural and cultural resources of the city, including investigating the layered histories of their own neighborhoods. Through architecture and community stories, students considered how vibrant neighborhoods are made, how places help mark history, and how they can contribute to the historic preservation of Los Angeles. Using music, Saito HS described their neighborhoods and what they felt represented their communities stories.
